Industrial Shredder Upgrades
Formax, Dover, NH January '07: Formax, a leader in paper processing equipment, introduces an enhancement to its industrial shredder line. The FD 8900B combines the rugged strength of the FD 8900CC with a High-Capacity Output Baler for convenient disposal of shredded material.
With the Output Baler, shredded material is continually compacted into a bale, improving throughput capacity by minimizing the frequency of emptying the shredder. Sensors automatically stop the shredding mechanism when the baler is full, and the bale is then ejected into a plastic bag for clean, easy disposal.
The FD 8900B provides the same commercial-grade features as the FD 8900CC, including all-metal gearing, heat-treated solid-steel cutters, powerful AC geared-motor, a variety of safety features, and a 10-year limited warranty on the cutting head. The FD 8900B can accommodate a variety of materials including stacks of computer forms, magnetic disks, CDs, cardboard, and entire files up to 500 sheets, at a speed of up to 35 feet per minute.
